Terry Winchell's musical style is a harmonious blend of indie folk, blues, and country rock, often characterized by an ethereal quality. Her soaring and expressive vocals, combined with distinct and artfully balanced instrumentation, create unique experiences that resonate deeply with listeners. Raised on the East End of Long Island, New York, Terry developed a profound appreciation for nature, surrounded by the beauty of farmland and the ocean. Her experiences as a traveling performer have greatly influenced her eclectic musical style. The sounds of renowned artists from her formative years, including Joni Mitchell, Otis Redding, Bonnie Raitt, Gram Parsons, Gordon Lightfoot, James Taylor, Robert Plant, The Band, The Beatles, and many others, continue to shape her artistic voice today. Terry infuses her music with the richness of her life experiences, sharing her stories through recordings, broadcasts, and live performances. She has performed in both large and intimate venues,and festivals serving as both a headliner and an opening act, in the United States and internationally. Throughout her career, she has opened for esteemed artists such as John Hammond, Taj Mahal, Hot Tuna, Eric Burdon, Pete Seeger, Doc Watson, Chip Taylor, Lenny Kravitz, and many others. After releasing her album "Blue Flower," Terry relocated to the Southwest in 2018 and now resides in Corrales, New Mexico. In 2025, Terry eagerly anticipates the opportunity to record new compositions and perform them live, alongside selections from her previous albums and unique cover songs.
